Sledding for the Young at Heart

When snow has been falling all month and cabin fever has hit its peak, it’s time to grab your sled (or tube) and head to your favorite sledding hill. While sledding seems like an activity more suited for children, it’s truly for the young at heart.

Sledding is good, wholesome fun for the entire family. It gives us an opportunity to spend time together, get valuable exercise, and enjoy the tranquility of the season. Get your blood pumping and shriek from the elation of tubing or sledding down the Dutch Henry Sledding Hill. Open December through March, weather permitting, this hill has groomed tracks with tall borders—perfect for high-speed tubers.

Located just south of downtown, at the intersection of McWethy and Highway 24, the Dutch Henry Sledding Hill offers tube rentals, free sledding for tube/sled owners, and a limited snack bar. When winter has got you down, head to the highest sledding hill in the country for an afternoon full of thrills.
